Position Summary:
Interpret and implement company Policies and Procedures in conjunction with plant senior management and corporate Human Resources to assure consistent, fair employee relations. Assist in planning and organizing labor force to effectively meet company objectives. Assist in developing and administering wage, salary, and benefit programs in alignment with corporate philosophy. Work with corporate safety group to establish and direct company safety, loss control, and occupational health programs in compliance with local, state, and federal safety and health requirements.


Accountabilities:

  • Manage the Human Resources Department's resources and personnel to obtain maximum benefit via organization, training, and leadership.
  • Implement and coordinate policies and procedures for Human Resources Department functions such as recruiting, wage/salary/benefits administration, training, health and safety programs.
  • Establish and direct company loss control programs utilizing aggressive management techniques to gain employee cooperation and commitment on workers' compensation and employee safety and training programs.
  • Manage Workers' Compensation Administration, outside insurance carriers and primary care medical providers to ensure that all industrial incident cases are resolved in a timely fashion.
  • Direct development and implementation of management and supervisor personnel to recognize the importance of proper industrial incident filing procedures. Incident investigations to be performed as a preventative measure as well as a post injury review.
  • Ensure OSHA 300 logs and state specific workers' compensation filing requirements are complied with.
  • Establish and direct safety program in consultation with plant senior management and corporate Safety Department.
  • Direct coordination of the activities of safety committee to promote employee participation and cooperation with outside safety and health agencies in achieving a safe and efficient working environment for all employees.
  • Schedule and supervise the routine inspection findings to appropriate management personnel for proper follow-up corrective action.
  • Implement and manage company benefit programs in consultation with senior management and corporate benefit group to provide employees with appropriate cost effective insurance coverage.
  • Direct employee performance evaluation program. Promote the opportunity for a formal discussion by employees and their supervisors to review overall work performance, objectives, and career development.
  • Administer wage and salary programs.
  • Recruit qualified candidates following current EEO and ADA hiring guidelines for exempt and non-exempt positions utilizing available resources to maintain an effective workforce.
  • Coordinate and interpret all company policies to assure consistent and standard application for equitable employee relations.
